About Us
Madison Meadows provides a program of study from 5th through 8th grade. Opened in 1957, Meadows has a tradition of academic excellence spanning nearly six decades. This tradition, coupled with strong parental involvement and student community service, provide an excellent framework for the school’s International Baccalaureate® program of study. Meadows was approved as an International Baccalaureate® (IB) World School in 2015 and also named as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2015 by the U.S. Department of Education.
Meadows Middle School's International Baccalaureate® (IB) Middle Years Programme
(MYP) gives our students valuable insights and understanding about the world and helps prepare them for the future. By developing skills, attitudes, and a framework that inspires creative, critical, and reflective thinking, Madison students learn to make connections between their traditional studies and the world around them. Grounded in the principles of intercultural understanding and respect, the IB framework emphasizes hands-on, inquiry-based learning, fostering students' natural curiosity and encouraging them to build on their existing knowledge through examination and collaboration. The MYP's rigorous and global-minded curriculum prepares students for the complexities of the 21st century. They emerge equipped with essential skills for becoming resilient, adaptive learners and compassionate, informed global citizens. The MYP program also prepares them to enter an IB High School Middle Years and Diploma program.
